A QUICK AND EASY BEAUTY TIP BY ALI

Lighthouse Boudoir’s own uber-talented hair and makeup artist, Ali Lanning, has this tip for all you ladies that battle with limp hair. Give those gorgeous locks a bounce with velcro rollers!

STYLING TIP:

“Does your hair fall flat by the time you finish your makeup? Take a few Extra Large Velcro Rollers & start rolling at the center of the forehead going down the center of the head, back toward the crown. Use the end of a teasing comb (or any comb) to part the sections more exactly & uniformly. Do your makeup then take out the rollers, flip your head over, & spray with a light Finishing Hairspray. Your hair will have plenty of life & bounce for Day or Night. xo – Ali Lanning”

I’ve tried this a few times and it really does make a huge difference! While still in the rollers, I like to also hit my roots with a hair dryer for a minute to give it some heat. I leave the house with the perfect bounce!

My personal tip to finish this look off would be to invest in some great Finishing Hairspray. I LOVE, love, love (OBSESSED) with Aveda’s Aircontrol hairspray. It’s not cheap but it is totally worth it with this Houston humidity we have to deal with 9 months out of the year!
